How We Rate Casinos

The scoring method behind every rating on this site, published in full.

The short version

We score casinos on what matters to someone playing roulette, not to someone playing slots. A site with a $5,000 welcome bonus and four roulette tables will rank below a site with no bonus, sixty tables and cash rakeback — because for our readers, it is worth less.

The criteria and their weights

CriterionWeightWhat we measure
Roulette selection25%Number of live and RNG tables, presence of French roulette with La Partage, table limit range, provider quality.
Bonus value on roulette20%Wagering multiplier, roulette weighting, max bet cap, max cash-out. Rakeback offers score higher than weighted match bonuses.
Payout speed20%A real withdrawal, timed from request to arrival, made by our editor from her own account.
Trust and licensing15%Licence, operating history, ownership transparency, published complaint handling, provably fair implementation where offered.
Platform quality10%Mobile table performance, stream quality, cashier friction, support response time.
Terms fairness10%Clarity of T&Cs, notice given on changes, presence of predatory clauses.

What we actually do

  1. Register an account without any special treatment, as an ordinary player.
  2. Deposit at least $100 of our own money.
  3. Play roulette specifically — not slots — for a minimum of 200 spins.
  4. Enter the promo code and confirm it attaches correctly.
  5. Read the full bonus terms, including the weighting table and max-bet clause.
  6. Request a withdrawal and time it end to end, including any KYC.
  7. Contact support with a real question and time the response.

What removes a casino from the site

  • A withdrawal that stalls or fails without a documented reason.
  • Terms changed retroactively on an active bonus.
  • A promo code that stops working and is not replaced.
  • Evidence of manipulated game outcomes.

We delist rather than downgrade in these cases, and we do not replace the review with a redirect — the page comes down.

The commercial relationship

We earn commission on some outbound links. Ratings are set before any commercial conversation and are not renegotiable. No operator has ever been given advance sight of a review on this site, and none has the ability to change a score. If that ever changes, this page changes with it.

Why the weightings are what they are

Roulette selection carries the most weight (25%) because a casino with four roulette tables is not a roulette casino, regardless of how good everything else is. We count live and RNG tables separately, check for French tables with La Partage, and note the stake range — a great table you cannot afford is not a great table.

Bonus value is scored on roulette, not on slots (20%). An operator offering a $2,000 match at 40x with 10% roulette weighting scores below one offering 10% rakeback with no wagering, because for our readers the second is worth more money. This single decision is why our ordering differs from most comparison sites.

Payout speed is measured, not quoted (20%). We time a withdrawal from request to arrival in the wallet, including any verification. What the FAQ promises is not an input.

Trust and licensing (15%) covers the licence, the operating history, whether ownership is disclosed, whether there is a published complaints route, and whether provably fair implementations exist where claimed.

Platform quality (10%) is mobile table performance, stream stability, cashier friction and support response time.

Terms fairness (10%) asks whether the T&Cs are written to be understood. Hidden max-bet clauses, undisclosed cash-out caps and retroactive changes all cost points.

What a score actually means

ScoreReading
4.7–5.0Class-leading on roulette specifically. Deep lobby, fair terms, fast money.
4.4–4.6Strong overall with one clear trade-off, usually bonus terms or lobby depth.
4.0–4.3Good at a particular thing, average elsewhere. Worth an account if that thing is what you want.
Below 4.0Not published. If an operator scores here we do not list it rather than listing it with a warning.

Every operator on this site passed a real withdrawal test. The spread between 4.1 and 4.8 is about lobby depth and terms quality, not about whether you will be paid.

Conflicts of interest

We earn commission on some outbound links. To keep that from influencing the work, three rules apply: scores are set before any commercial conversation; no operator sees a review before publication; and nobody can buy a position in a table. We have declined partnerships and we have delisted operators whose commercial terms were good and whose payout behaviour was not.

If you ever read something on this site that feels commercially influenced, write to us and quote the passage. We answer those.

Re-verification schedule

Promo codes are re-checked on a rolling basis, with the most-clicked codes checked most often. Reviews are revisited at least twice a year, and immediately if an operator changes its bonus structure, changes licence, or a reader reports a problem we can reproduce.
