- House edge — what the game costs per hour at your stake.
- European vs American — the single most valuable decision you make.
- Wheel layout — why the numbers sit where they do.
- Strategies — what systems do, and what they cannot do.
What you will not find here
No systems for sale. No “secret” bet selections. No claims that any sequence of wagers overcomes a negative expectation, because none does and saying otherwise costs readers money.
What we do publish is the arithmetic, the history where it explains something, and honest accounts of what happens when a betting system meets ten thousand spins. Where a claim can be tested, we build a tool so you can test it rather than believe us — that is what the strategy simulator and the wheel simulator are for.
Who writes these
All six guides are written by Daniel Voss, who dealt roulette in two licensed European casinos before moving into writing. Every figure published here is recalculated by hand and then checked against a Monte Carlo run before it goes live, and every page carries a last-updated date. Corrections are made in place, with the date changed, rather than quietly.
The five-minute version
If you read nothing else, this is the whole of it.
Roulette pays slightly less than true odds on every bet, and the size of that shortfall depends only on how many green pockets the wheel has and whether the table refunds half on zero. One green pocket is 2.70%. Two is 5.26%. One plus La Partage is 1.35% on even-money bets. Everything else about the layout — inside bets, outside bets, dozens, columns, called bets — carries the same number as everything else on that wheel.
Your cost is that percentage multiplied by everything you stake. Staking more per spin, or spinning more often, increases it proportionally. Nothing about the order or size of your bets changes it, which is why every betting system produces the same expected result and differs only in how dramatic the ride is.
So the useful decisions are made before the first spin: which wheel, what stake, how long, and whether the bonus you were offered is worth taking on a game weighted at 10%. The six guides above are the long version of those four sentences.
